Studio Portrait Session with Cayle

February 2, 2026

Timothy West

This studio session with Cayle was one of those shoots that just flowed. Clean sets, strong styling, and a relaxed energy throughout. We kept things simple and intentional, letting her presence and movement do the heavy lifting.

The goal for this shoot was versatility. We worked through a range of looks that could live comfortably in both a commercial and editorial space. From minimal black styling to softer, lighter tones, each setup was designed to give Cayle a strong variety of images for her portfolio. Nothing overworked, nothing forced. Just clean light, thoughtful posing, and space for personality to come through.

My approach in the studio is always about creating an environment where the subject can settle in. Especially for models who are still building confidence, comfort is everything. We moved at a steady pace, adjusted as needed, and focused on shapes and expression rather than rigid posing. That flexibility almost always leads to stronger images.

One thing I encourage on shoots, particularly for newer models, is bringing someone along for support. In this case, Cayle’s boyfriend joined us and was incredibly helpful throughout the session. Having someone familiar in the room can make a big difference in how relaxed and confident a model feels. For younger models, this is even more important. I require a parent or guardian present for anyone under 18, no exceptions. A safe, professional environment always comes first.

This type of studio session is ideal for models looking to update their portfolio, actors needing clean, expressive images, or creatives who want polished content that still feels natural. It’s also a great option if you’re transitioning into agency work and need images that show range without distraction.

A selection of images from the session is included below.

If you’re thinking about updating your portfolio or booking a studio shoot, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to talk through ideas and see what makes sense for where you’re at.
