E-Bikes Meet Fashion: Two Creative Photoshoots in Victoria, BC

Four amazing models, two photoshoots, some electric bikes, and a whole lot of fun!

Sometimes the best photoshoots happen when you combine two things you’re passionate about. For me, that’s photography and electric bikes!

As a commercial photographer and the creator behind Tim’s Electric, I’m always looking for opportunities to bring these two worlds together. Recently, I organized two creative e-bike photoshoots featuring four fantastic local models: Elaine, Jaycine, K, and Janice.

The idea was simple: take electric bikes, add a little fashion and personality, and create some fun, engaging images that go beyond the typical product photograph.

And that’s exactly what we did!

Photoshoot #1: Elaine & Jaycine

Our first session featured the wonderful Elaine and Jaycine, who brought plenty of energy, personality, and style to the shoot.

One of the things I love about photographing people with e-bikes is the opportunity to mix lifestyle photography with a bit of fashion and commercial advertising.

Rather than simply photographing a bike, I wanted to create images that felt natural, fun, and full of character.

Elaine and Jaycine were absolutely fantastic to work with, and we had a great time experimenting with different poses, compositions, and ways of incorporating the bikes into the photos.

A special shoutout goes to Eric, who generously came out to assist with the shoot. Having an extra pair of hands to help move equipment, position bikes, and keep everything running smoothly makes a tremendous difference.

Photoshoot #2: K & Janice

For our second session, I had the pleasure of working with K and Janice.

One of the great things about creative photography is seeing how different people bring their own personalities to a shoot. Even when you’re working with a similar concept, the results can feel completely different.

K and Janice were wonderful collaborators, and we had a fantastic time creating another collection of e-bike lifestyle images.

My goal with these sessions wasn’t just to produce attractive photographs of electric bikes. I wanted the images to feel like something you might see in a lifestyle campaign or a commercial advertisement.

Great commercial photography should tell a story, create a feeling, and make the viewer imagine themselves as part of the experience.

Of course, having great people in front of the camera makes that job a whole lot easier!

Bringing Photography and Electric Bikes Together

I’ve spent years photographing models, creating commercial imagery, and producing videos for my YouTube channel, Tim’s Electric.

These sessions were a fun opportunity to combine all those experiences.

Electric bikes are becoming an increasingly familiar part of everyday life, and I think there’s tremendous potential for more creative lifestyle imagery in the e-bike industry.

Product specifications and technical photographs are important, but sometimes a great photograph of someone enjoying a bike tells a much more compelling story.

And let’s face it, it’s also a great excuse to get outside, work with some wonderful people, and have a few laughs along the way!
