Fashion Splash Social 2026 is officially underway.
The kickoff event this past weekend set the tone for what is shaping up to be an incredible fashion show next Saturday. The evening marked the launch of the online auction and the cover reveal, bringing together a strong mix of creatives, media, and supporters who make this event what it is.
This was an indoor event, full of movement, conversation, and anticipation. My approach for nights like this is simple. Stay present, move lightly through the room, and capture the real energy as it unfolds. Candid reactions during the cover reveal, designers connecting with guests, the behind the scenes conversations that most people never see. Those are the moments that tell the story.
Events like Splash Social are about more than just what happens on stage. They are about community. The collaboration between Not in the Pink, Batfish Studio, Shifty Mother, Coda, Victoria WTH, The Q, CHEK News, and Used.ca brought a great mix of fashion, media, and local culture into one space. You could feel the momentum building for next weekend’s runway show.
For me as a photographer, this kind of event is about documenting atmosphere. The details. The people. The expressions that define the night. It is ideal for brands, designers, creatives, and organizations who want strong visual coverage that feels authentic and editorial rather than staged.
