Fashion Splash 2026
February 21, 2026 was another unforgettable night for Victoria’s fashion community.
Fashion Splash once again brought together talented local designers, models, hair and makeup artists, photographers, media, and supporters for a vibrant evening celebrating Vancouver Island’s creative industry. And as always, I was right there in the pit capturing the runway action 📸🔥
In the Pit with the Photographers
There’s something electric about shooting shoulder to shoulder with other talented photographers. The timing, the lighting shifts, the choreography of movement as each model hits their mark, it’s intense and exciting.
I always enjoy working alongside other creatives. It pushes me. I get to see different angles, different approaches, and often walk away having learned a new technique or perspective. Even after years of shooting fashion shows, there’s always something to refine, adjust, or experiment with.
The runway this year delivered. Strong walks, beautiful styling, bold designs, and confident energy from the models made for some incredible moments.
Beyond the Runway, Behind the Scenes
Before and between designer walks, I stepped out of the pit to capture what many people don’t see.
Backstage buzz. Final touches from hair and makeup teams. Designers adjusting garments. Models sharing nervous laughs before stepping into the lights. Guests connecting, cocktails in hand, the selfie lounge in full swing.
Those candid, in-between moments often tell just as much of the story as the runway itself.
It was a long day. But a very rewarding one.

Fashion Splash is Victoria’s premier local designer fashion event, showcasing our talented local fashion industry here on Vancouver Island. The event highlights local Designers, Models, and Beauty Industry professionals in a high energy, community driven atmosphere.
