This year’s Canada Day shoot was such a blast! I put the call out for a fun, red-and-white-themed photo session at the Legislature and the turnout was awesome.
Petra brought her whole family, Brynn came out with her mom Julie, Mikayla and Kendra brought their spark (literally… sparklers!), and Emily showed up with both her mom and sister — so fun! Kendra even brought bubbles, which added such a playful touch. I brought along my big 5-foot Canada flag, and it definitely made for some epic shots ????????
We started off with individual portraits and group shots in front of the Legislature. Everyone dressed in beautiful red and white fits — they truly brought the festive energy! As someone who immigrated to Canada in 1982 and proudly became a citizen in 1995, Canada Day always holds a special place in my heart. I’ve now lived in Victoria for over 11 years, and celebrating in this beautiful city surrounded by awesome people makes me love island life even more.
I’ve shared a highlight reel and a full gallery of the shoot below — scroll down to check them out.
Thanks to everyone who came out and made this shoot so fun and full of love for our country. Can’t wait to do it again next year! ????
