I had the chance to attend a recent runway rehearsal, and it was one of those moments where you can feel the momentum building before a big event.
From the second I arrived, the energy in the room was high. Dan was incredibly welcoming, which set the tone right away. It felt less like a formal rehearsal and more like a creative space where everyone was genuinely excited to be there.
The models were fantastic. Focused, professional, and clearly putting in the work to refine their walks. You could see the repetition, the small adjustments, the confidence building with each pass down the runway.
At the same time, the designers were right there in it, laughing, adjusting, collaborating. There was a real sense of community, not just people preparing for a show, but people enjoying the process of creating something together.
There were lots of walks, lots of practice, and a clear sense that everything is building toward something bigger. These rehearsals aren’t just about getting it right, they’re about shaping the experience that the audience will eventually see.
The main events are happening on May 2 and 3, and I’ll be there on May 3rd to photograph the runway.
If the rehearsal was any indication, this is going to be a show worth seeing.
