Saturday was an absolute treat of a day and I was super excited and looking forward to it all week long. One of my mentors, Von invited me to second shoot a wedding at the beautiful Starling Lane Vineyard so I picked him up at the Airport, we had breakfast and then arrived at the vineyard. If you haven’t been to the Starling Lane Vineyard and you’re thinking of a venue for your wedding I would highly recommend it. I met Jackie, the estate manager, and she was lovely enough to share some of the history of the grounds. Some of the buildings are 150 years old! The estate is phenomenal, the grounds are impeccable, the flowers gorgeous and the bunnies are huge (I didn’t take a photo of the bunnies but goodness me they were enormous). First I must say a very big thank you to Von for inviting me as this was my first wedding and although I had concerns and fears shooting my first wedding, his calm demeanor and professionalism made the extremely long day wonderful. I learned so much watching a pro work and being given lots of responsibility to take shots from certain angles and the flexibility to shoot some behind the scenes footage on my cell phone made the whole day lovely. Thank you Von 🙂
Also many thanks to the lovely Bride, Rachelle and her groom Nathan. The whole wedding party knew how to have fun 🙂
