Since the last time I shot with Janaya she’s been gracing the walks of Vancouver Fashion week and making quite an impact. She’s all set to walk the runways of Victoria’s very own Fashion show this coming Saturday. Tickets still available for Strike Midnight. I met up with her and her amazing mum to shoot with her at one of my favourite coffee shops here in Victoria, Union Pacific Coffee. I love shooting there because the interior exposed brick is beautiful, the windows are big and let in lots of light and the outside courtyard and front entrance lend itself to so many possibilities. Thank you to Alan and his staff for being so accommodating…and they make some wonderful deserts 🙂
After meeting up we took some shots in and around Union Pacific and then went off to explore some of the alleyways like Dragon Alley which back on to the coffee shop. Janaya’s mum Tara was super helpful, fixing hair, helping with quick changes and holding the reflector and scrim in various spots. Many thanks to her as the photos are all the better for her presence.
