SHINE Fashion Tea – Fashion Show at The Fairmont Empress with Todd Talbot & Rebecca Talbot

I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph for SHINE Fashion Tea on Sunday lunchtime at the Fairmont Empress. In a word it was wonderful. The hosts Todd Talbot and his wife Rebecca Talbot were the perfect duo for presenting the auctions and introducing the Fashion Show. The show was put together to help raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital. (Helping Kids Shine).

The show had a VIP room which I started photographing in and then the show migrated to the Palm Court and then Tea in the Dinning Room with big hats and fabulous outfits everywhere. Behind the scenes there were lots of models including some you’ll recognize as I’ve photographed with many of them. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jerry Lum, a fellow photographer who had just about every photography piece of equipment on my current Christmas wish list…if he goes missing…just saying. 🙂 The organizers were amazing too Steve and Tracy. I met Steve right away and he gave me the run down of what to expect and then he let me go off and do my thing. Tracy was fabulous too, and she was so calm and professional. The whole experience was amazing. Another amazing fashion experience right here in beautiful Victoria. I popped by the makeup area and said hello to the models, hair and makeup artists and then captured shots of the runway which wound through the guests as they enjoyed a high tea experience.

I was so excited to see the Karl Lagerfeld Spring ready to wear collection and it was terrific. Also go to see Alex S. Yu’s 2018 Spring Streetwear Collection, Michael Kors Spring 2018 Ready to Wear collection and Connally McDougall’s Spring 2018 Collection. All wear fabulous. I’m really interested in seeing more of Connally’s designs in the future too.

The makeup was flawless and provided by Elate Cosmetics and Necklaces were Carolyn Bruce Designs.
