Camosun College 4th year Marketing students came together with the local International development organization VIDEA and partner Zambian agency, Women for Change, to raise funds to promote gender equality, education for youth and improve quality of life in Zambian communities and I was fortunate enough to be invited to come and shoot the event. I also made a short little video 🙂
I joined them at the Victoria Event Centre for an “Eve of Empowerment” to witness the wonder of some of Victoria’s most talented women including aerial and pole artists performing on stage, and local artist Richelle Clapp’s fantastical RayGunGirl Designs fashion show.
They had a silent auction (one of which was a studio shoot with me 🙂 ) featuring a variety of local goods and services ranging from massage, to dinners out, to aerial studio passes and enjoy some free appies and refreshments. There was also a bar service available.
