Engagement photography is so much fun! I met up with Desmond and Melissa (whom I’ve had the pleasure to shoot with in the past) at Elk Lake near Victoria BC and we got lucky as it didn’t rain and the sun popped out a bit giving us some lovely light to shoot with. Natural light photography shoots can be challenging at this time of year and I embrace the challenge. In this short video you can see how I pose couples for engagement photographs. One of the most important things is to have a look book or an idea from the future bride on the style of photos they’re after. Lucky for me Melissa is a professional model so she was prepared with examples and ideas for me to see before the shoot and she brought them with her on her phone too.
