Briana and Jessy’s wedding at Cedar Haven was an enchanting celebration set deep within the old-growth rainforest of Vancouver Island’s West Coast. Cedar Haven, winner of the Best Unique Outdoor Wedding Venue at the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards 2022, truly lived up to its reputation. The ceremony took place in what can only be described as a cathedral of towering trees, with the smell of salt coastal air mingling with the earthy aroma of the cedars, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of capturing their special day not just through photos but also with a short video of the ceremony. To ensure every heartfelt word was captured clearly, I used microphones for both the officiant and the groom, adding a professional touch to the recording. The day began with moments of anticipation as the groom and his groomsmen got ready, followed by shots of the bride and her bridesmaids preparing for the big moment. After the ceremony, guests celebrated with drinks and finger foods under a large tent on the property, surrounded by the natural beauty of Cedar Haven. I photographed the family portraits with the newlyweds and captured the fun and lively moments shared by their guests. From the serene forest setting to the joyful reception, every detail of Breanna and Jessy’s wedding was a testament to their love and the stunning venue.
