This past week, I had the awesome opportunity to film the Bartlett Tree Experts Client Seminar in Vancouver. It was a fantastic trip—starting with a ferry ride over, an overnight stay in a hotel, and then a full day of filming at the Deeley Exhibition.
The venue was incredible—not only did it provide a great space for the seminar, but it also had a Harley-Davidson dealership attached, so I got to check out some sweet motorcycles in between sessions.
The Setup
For this shoot, I used:
✅ Two Sony cameras (A6400 & A6600)
✅ Rode Wireless Go II microphones for crisp audio
✅ ATEM Mini for live switching between camera angles
✅ Atomos Ninja Recorder to ensure high-quality recordings
This setup allowed me to capture five expert presentations and a Q&A session with a two-camera setup, giving the videos a polished and dynamic feel.
The Experience
One of the highlights of the day was working with Darren Silcox from Bartlett Tree Experts. He was my go-to contact and made sure everything ran smoothly, from organizing speakers to helping me get the best angles for each talk. The room was packed, which made for a lively and engaging event.
Filming the Q&A session was a bit tricky since not everyone used the microphone, but I worked some audio magic to clean it up in post. In the end, I’m really happy with how everything turned out.
The Final Videos
I uploaded the unedited videos to my personal YouTube channel as a temporary measure while Bartlett prepares to post them on their official channel. The event was a great success, and I’m looking forward to working with them again in the future!
Huge thanks to Bartlett Tree Experts and Darren for having me. It was an absolute pleasure capturing this event.
