Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph behind the scenes of a music video shoot for Olivia Hahn. The shoot took place at the Fernwood Community Centre Theatre, a fantastic space that provided the perfect backdrop for this creative project.
The energy in the theatre was electric from the moment I walked in. Olivia was surrounded by a full film crew, hair and makeup artists, and a tight-knit group of family and friends who were there to support her. It was clear that this project was a labor of love, and every person on set played a key role in bringing her vision to life.
As a photographer, my goal was to capture the unscripted moments—the candid interactions, the quiet concentration before a take, and the bursts of laughter between shots. Behind the scenes photography is about more than just documentation; it’s about telling the story of the people who make the magic happen.
The film crew worked seamlessly, adjusting lighting and camera angles with precision, while the makeup and hair team ensured Olivia and the other performers looked flawless under the bright stage lights. Olivia herself was a powerhouse, moving effortlessly between takes and bringing incredible emotion to every scene.
It’s always inspiring to witness artists in their element, and this shoot was no exception. Olivia’s passion for her music was evident in every frame, and I can’t wait to see how the final video turns out.
